When Jesus dwells upon the earth again

"He shall dwell on high: his place of defense shall be the munitions of rocks:

bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.

Thine eyes shall see the King in his beauty:

they shall behold the land that is very far off.

For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver,

the LORD is our king; He will save us" Isaiah 33: 16,17,22

Every Jew waits for the day the Messiah would come and be the King of Israel. They are waiting blindly. But we know who the Messiah is, its Jesus and we are awaiting His Return back to the earth. His feet shall stand in that day on the Mount of Olives, (Zech 14:4).

Isaiah Chapters 24-35 are all Messianic, and speak of the times when Jesus will live upon the earth, be the King of Israel and live in Jerusalem. As surely as the LORD lives, this is going to happen. This is the second part of our Salvation that is yet to play out, only then the fullness of the Kingdom will come in.

The prophet seeing far ahead into the day of Christ, speaks of various things in this chapter. He speaks of the times of Christ and says who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings? And gives the answer, he that walks righteously, speaks uprightly; despises the profits of oppression, doesn’t take bribes, and lives a pure life.

Unto such a Christian are these promises given (v16,17).

He will dwell on high (in safety), he will be protected,

His bread and water shall be sure.

They shall see Jesus Christ in His beauty and graciousness and friendship.

They will experience the Kingdom of God (that is to come).

In that day, Jesus will be our judge, our President, Prime minister, King, CEO, chief minister, constitution, supreme court, city planner, forest conservator, our King, our Saviour and Lord. (v 22). Your heart will think of the terror and enemy (v 18), but they will not be there. Inhabitant shall not say that I am sick, and the people will be forgiven their iniquity. (v 24).

Jerusalem will be a quiet habitation, not one of the stakes thereof shall ever be removed, neither shall any of the cords thereof be broken. It applies to the Church too, dwelling in such safety, because the King is the Pastor. Can you imagine a Sunday service in that time? Such Grace and Glory of God. This is literal, no spiritualization. And don’t forget, you will still see the wounds in the hands of Jesus Christ.

Our homes, our families, our Churches, not one of the stakes will ever be removed. We will dwell in the shadow of the Most High God. Surely the day is round the corner, when Jesus will take a house in Jerusalem, furnish it, do the interiors, have a Piano, and a nice teak dining table and a guest room and a nice lawn and garden, few pets – birds and dogs perhaps, even a few cats. He will live a life of such Grace in our midst, surely he will have a lot of friends! I probably think he will cycle and run too. And use cars and planes too. He too will use cell phones, emails and it will be a treat to see Christ and his life amidst us.

Heavenly Father, hasten the Day of Christ that we may live with Him upon the earth. Amen
