"So (one of the elders) said unto me, these are the ones who came out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Therefore they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His temple. And He who sits on the throne will dwell among them. They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat; for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes" Rev 7:14-17

In our families, we remember our loved ones on their death anniversaries. Some of my aunts say, what is my husband doing in Heaven right now? We look to Revelation, Matt, Isaiah, Ezekiel, Daniel etc, for answers. Here are 4 things that happen in Heaven constantly.

Worship

Saints see God the Father and Jesus Christ face to face and Worship Him. They see Jesus face to face, and meet him as a friend. How sweet that experience will be. As the scripture says, the Lamb himself shall dwell with them, he will feed them, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Music in Heaven is very pure. People who make a lot of noise have bands that are kilometres away from the throne of God. So watch out how you play here!

Bible Classes

Even in Heaven you will be reading your Bibles, so those of you who do a shoddy job, have a lot to catch up on. Imagine bumping into Jeremiah, or Ezekiel, some of you will run for cover because you don’t know what is in the book. But seriously the Word of God is taught in Heaven. Spurgeon, Billy Graham, Isaiah, Paul, Peter, Uncle Dhinakaran etc will still be teaching the Word. You can enroll for classes. Plus you can ask Jesus and watch actual recordings of Biblical scenes. Coming to music, Bach and Beethoven and Fanny Crosby will be teaching music and Hymns. I’d love to learn piano from Bach one day.

Homes

Jesus said, in my Father’s house are many mansions. Literally we will have individual homes in Heaven, Furnished to your taste. Jesus himself will prepare the place for you, and once it is done, He will come back to take us there. I surely will have a Steinway piano in my home and play privately for Jesus. Sometimes I may invite friends too, so be good to me here.

Friendships and social life

People have normal social life there and the one Topic will be giving Thanks to Jesus for all that he has done for us on earth. You will be catching up. Also you and your friends will meet with Jesus. Same with family gatherings, it will be endless testimony time. So remember that our earthly friendships are never going to end. Just that there is no husband wife or Parent-child relationships, all will be friends. So those of you couples, do remember that your friendship will last forever. Some of you may be saying, Oh! my God. But jokes apart, those that truly loved and served Christ will be nearer to the Throne of God and those that were basic Christians will be further away from Jesus. Hence it is important for families to grow together in the Lord. Build up your ETERNAL life.

Vast pastures of green, rivers and rivulets, and mountains and birds and trees and animals, with clean roads, this is what Heaven looks like. You can walk from place to place in seconds, Jesus will jog with you, go hiking with you, also teach you Piano or Violin or whatever. People will still be cooking, eating, having parties etc. It’s an amazing life, of endless Happiness in the Presence of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ. There will be no sun or moon or stars, but the face of Jesus will lit up the entire place. What an amazing way to live.

"And I saw a New Heaven and a New earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the dwelling place (tabernacle) of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away. Then He that sat upon the throne said, “Behold, I make all things new.”"

Rev 21:1-5

In our families, friendships and Christian conduct, it is God’s desire that we live on earth as it is in Heaven- in Integrity and love, care and helping each other.

To Christ alone be all the glory, forever and ever. Amen & Amen
