Second Advent: Jesus is returning soon

Jacob on this death-bed, called his sons together and by the Holy Spirit prophesied what was to happen to them in the years to come. In these words, he told Judah, that Christ would come in his family and lineage. It was a word of encouragement to all his children, that the Almighty God would come and dwell with man. That kind God would be their Savior and law-giver. And this Jesus will rule over all the nations and bring Peace to the entire planet. And that Word strengthened Judah, Joseph and later Moses and the prophets.

Isaiah too was in a moment of great distress at the politics of his age. He was totally frustrated with wicked kings, their rule and corruption and the quality of life that made people despair. Then the Holy Spirit told him that, Jesus would come. That’s why he wrote, For unto us a child is born unto us a son is given, and the Government would be upon His shoulder. For years that prophecy gave hope to generations till JESUS came. And Isaiah did realize some of the Kingdom of God, when Hezekiah came to power and ruled righteously for years.

Christ came as a Savior in his first coming. He died on the Cross for mankind’s sins and reconciled man back to God. His dead body, rose on the Third day and that Jesus, commanded his disciples to tell the world about him and Salvation of sinners. He made it clear, that He was coming to the earth again, in a visible manner on the clouds One day. That he would be Ruler of Israel, fulfilling all the Prophets and would also rule all nations for 1000 years. What rest, man and beast will have in that day.

Governments will be clean, fully accountable. Jesus will appear on TV, he will take news conferences. He will visit many cities and meet with people – poor and rich. Roads will be clean, society will be righteous. Devil will be bound for 1000 years and hence people will think clearly and be righteous by and large. Crime will be dealt with severely and swiftly. Justice will roll down like the waters. Trees and lakes and birds will abound, for the Man who created this planet will be its Gardener. Imagine the lakes in Bangalore or its roads then.

You and I long for that day. Jacob told his children then. Today we are Peter, Paul and John’s children literally. It is a moment of great dimness on the planet, we have so totally forgotten that Jesus will actually come back. The Jewish Rabbis always said that when its darkest, then the Father will send the Messiah to save man from his hopelessness. Today, we need him desperately. As children of the apostles and prophets, will you too just confess to yourself and your family and friends that Jesus is going to come back. It is for real. Every eye will see Him.

Behold He comes upon the clouds. Even so, come Lord Jesus
