New Year blessings

Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil. Your shoes shall be iron and brass; and as your days, so shall your strength be. Deuteronomy 33: 24

Happy New Year to you folks. This is just a present Word, to encourage you. I write down a few things from Deuteronomy 33, the final Blessings of Moses the man of God over the children of Israel.

Don’t forget these are all Blessings in Christ. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ. Ephesians 1:3.

Of Asher

Let him have children. Meaning God wants us to give souls this year as you go forth and preach. So, keep preaching the Gospel. Also the Holy Spirit will bring some younger believers under you to mentor and build up. Children are a heritage from the Lord. They also help and support you. Even their prayers do prop us up from time to time! So don’t despise your children.

Also strength for life: As your days so shall your strength be. Reading the Word daily and spending time with Jesus is the key to life. A blessing even for old people: Moses lived in good strength till the end of his life, so this Blessing is a real thing.

Let him (Asher) also be acceptable/ agreeable unto his colleagues, suppliers, customers, friends and family! May you agree on things and work together as a team! Foot in oil, iron and brass all refer to provision and resources.

And of Dan

Dan is a lion's whelp: he shall leap from Bashan. (v22)

Some of you are sick and unable to spring up. This is a promise, you will leap and walk again. The Resurrection power of Christ will come upon you and make you walk again. Speaking out the Word, singing even a small song (even in your sickness) are imp keys. Then the power of the Holy spirit will come upon you.

Of Gad

He provided the first part for himself, because there, in a portion of the lawgiver, was he seated; and he came with the heads of the people, he executed the justice of the Lord, and his judgments in Israel. (v21,22)

God has placed us believers on the earth to bring forth judgements. What the believer says and decrees is higher than the highest court or authority. So keep declaring the Judgements upon situations, people and nations. This is how the Kingdom comes upon the earth. Daniel and Joseph operated like this. Kings and kingdoms ended with the Word of God, battles were won or lost in Prayer first!

Of Benjamin

The beloved of the Lord shall dwell in safety by him; and the Lord shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders. (v12)

Benjamin was the youngest in the family. This promise is for the little kids, God will give them safety and protect them. When moms brought babies and kids, Jesus took up the little children in his arms and Blessed them. Imagine what would have happened after that! One day we will speak to those moms and dads and check out the life histories of those kids! Even the fellow who gave 5 loaves, the kids who took palm branches on Palm Sunday etc!

God even cares for our pets - dogs, cats, birds etc. I can attest how recently Jesus healed my pet pigeon Billu (Billy Graham full name) of a really big tumour on the neck. It was about to die, honestly, but we prayed and Jesus touched it. It wouldn't come near for medicines, ointment etc. God uses them also many times to cheer us up and minster to us!

Of Levi

Let thy Thummim and thy Urim be with thy holy one, whom you did prove at Massah, and with whom you did strive at the waters of Meribah;

Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed thy word, and kept thy covenant.

They shall teach Jacob thy judgments, and Israel thy law: they shall put incense before thee, and whole burnt sacrifice upon thine altar.

Pastors you have been faithful to the Lord. You have not pleased men or even family as you preached the Word. No compromise even with family. This has landed you up in trouble even among your loved ones. So the Holy Spirit is encouraging you saying, only such upright people will stand for me in pulpits and be my mouthpieces. God will continue to give you discernment in many ways! And Bless you mightily.

Of Zebulun

They shall call the people unto the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness (v19).

For worship leaders and Church musicians: you will lead congregations in Worship. And offer right sacrifices. Holy Spirit will breathe upon you when you call to worship. Prepare yourselves well.

Of Joseph

And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren. (13-17).

Many blessings are coming upon Joseph, who was separate for the gospel. He suffered a lot in prisons and rejection and loneliness for sake of Christ. Many may even be living away from their families for the Gospel’s sake, touring a lot etc. Manifold blessings of provisions, family and precious blessings are coming upon your work and ministry. These labourers for Christ, Jesus will personally call you and give your wages and reward!

Of Judah

For leaders and people in authority. Hear, Lord, the voice(prayer) of Judah, and bring him(Christ) unto his people: let his hands be sufficient for him, and be thou an help to him from his enemies. (v7).

Let his hands be sufficient for him, means may you find the influence and authority to execute things even in the secular sphere. Even the provision, finances, network you have will be sufficient for the tasks! And may Jesus nullify the plots of your enemies.

Bring Christ unto his people, means, let the Messiah come soon! (to his waiting people).

In closing, this is the season of Return of Christ! Be mindful and he will visit you. More than my very life, am certain about this.
