Jesus our great healer through the ages

"When evening had come, they brought unto Jesus many who were demon-possessed. And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet saying, “He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses" Matthew 8:16,17 (30 AD)

"Now Isaiah had said, “Let them take a lump of figs, and apply it as a poultice on the boil, and he shall recover.” And Hezekiah had said, “What is the sign that I shall go up to the house of the Lord?” Isaiah 38:21,22. (700 BC)

"And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb, in the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the Tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations" Revelations 22:1-2. (Now and forever)

Donald Trump & Melania test positive for Covid19

Last week the headlines were all about Donald Trump and Melania testing positive for Covid. Every one of us now know Walter Reed Hospital as well as Apollo Hospitals. Go back about 3000 years (circa 700 BC), one day the King in Jerusalem, Hezekiah was stricken with a deadly illness. He was a great king who loved the Lord, but when God saved him from Assyria, he became very proud. And so, a deadly disease came upon him. He sends word for Pastor Isaiah, and he comes to visit him. Please read Isaiah 38 for full details. Hezekiah repents and prays to God and Jesus heals him. God gives him another 15 years to live, Extension, WOW!

Remember it was Isaiah who wrote, By Christ’s stripes we are forgiven and healed. Isaiah 53:5. I wonder how many sermons he would have preached on forgiveness of sins and healing by the Blood of Jesus. It is important for our minds to open to the truths of the Gospel. The Gospel of Jesus is there from Genesis to Revelation, if only we have eyes to see and ears to hear. See Christ and your heart will be satisfied.

Everybody needs healing. Even healthy guys have problems, we are constantly falling sick and getting healthy, that is the cycle of life. Some of you may be battling some sicknesses for months or years. There is relief for you at the Cross. I suggest you sit down and read aloud as many healing miracles from the Gospels (Matt 8, 9, John 9, 11 etc) and Acts. If you can’t read, put on the Audio Bible at the Gospels and listen. Am sure the Holy Spirit will bring you the Ministry of Jesus into your homes. And as the doctor prescribes, please do take whatever medicines needed. Sometimes God heals through his Word, at times through tablets, or both

Healing also comes through exercise, good diet and a daily reading of the Word. Do not neglect these disciplines. Please also heartily sing a few songs daily. It’s the Presence of God that brings healing. Sometimes you can be healed without knowing it too.

Fast forward to Heaven and Eternity in Rev 22. And there you see the Tree of life, it’s the life in Christ that comes through the reading of the Word. We are not going to pluck apples from a tree and be healed, don’t kid yourself. It’s the Word and the Cross that bring healing. Whether it is Hezekiah, or a leper in Jesus time, or healing for us now, it is faith in Jesus Christ that brought forth healing. There is no other source.

Also, it’s our duty to pray for world leaders, especially those that stand with the Church. As Apostle Paul exhorted in 1 Tim 2:2, It’s our duty for pray for good governance and leaders so that we may live in peace and godliness. Even for our nation – India, and your neighborhood.
